The trek starts from Lata, a serene village among the highlands of Garhwal Himalaya. The trail penetrates through alpine forests to the heart of the sanctuary. The campsite of Lata kharak offers breathtaking views of several snow-clad giants like Dronagiri, Ronti, Bethartoli Himal, Devistan, Nanda Ghunti. Saini Kharak offers a breathtaking perspective of the “Devi.”
