The trails from Srikhola to Sandakphu and Phalut to Gorkhey are entirely through the undisturbed woods. The Phalut top offers spectacular view of Kanchenjunga and the associated peaks, resembling the imagery of the Sleeping Buddha. During the months of April & May, the entire region gets clothed with colourful rhododendrons.
